On the south coast of Vieques, Mosquito Bay glows blue-green when its microscopic dinoflagellates are disturbed. It has been recognised as one of the brightest bioluminescent bays on Earth.
Swimming is not allowed; tours use kayaks or electric boats. The darker the night, the better the glow.
