In Grand Cayman's North Sound, a shallow sandbar has been a gathering place for southern stingrays since fishermen began cleaning catches there decades ago. Today boats bring visitors to stand and snorkel among them.
The area is a protected Wildlife Interaction Zone with rules for handling the animals.
