Near Ocho Rios, Dunn's River Falls tumbles about 180 metres down a series of natural travertine terraces straight onto the beach. Visitors climb up through the water in human chains led by guides.
It's one of Jamaica's most popular sights, so arrive at opening time on a day with few cruise ships in port.
Tips
- Wear water shoes (they can be rented on site)
- Use a waterproof phone pouch
- Combine with a river rafting trip nearby
